Ben’s initial career path was within financial services qualifying as a financial adviser in 2008. However he soon realised that his real interested was in the legal system and started his law degree in 2009. Ben joined Sutton McGrath Hartley in 2015 shortly after qualifying as a Chartered Legal Executive (FCILEx) following 6 years of study.
Ben gained his initial legal experience spending 6 years working for a large national law firm. During his time there he became one of the more senior Will writers and also gave advice on, and dealt with, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Probate. Once qualified, Ben saw the opportunity to join Sutton McGrath Hartley to offer his services to the more immediate community.
He is currently involved with all areas of Private Client law which includes Will writing, Lasting Powers of Attorney preparation, estate administration, obtaining Probate, tax planning, Court of Protection applications and trust work. He has particular interest in tax planning and is set to study to become a Chartered Tax Adviser alongside his existing qualifications.
