Cloud Accounting – Making Tax Digital
8:30am to 10:30am on Wednesday 12th October 2016
Sheffield Chamber of Commerce
Sutton McGrath Hartley, in association with the Sheffield Chamber of Commerce, invite you to attend a free seminar on Cloud Accounting, taking place on Wednesday 12th October 2016 at 8:30am.
Forthcoming legislation will force most types of business to keep track of their tax affairs digitally and update HMRC at least quarterly via a digital tax account.
For those businesses that don’t have the relevant in-house expertise this is likely to mean more work for their accountants, and more cost for their business.
There is only one way to keep those costs to an absolute minimum and that is to invest in the new generation of accounting software and join the cloud.
It is therefore important for businesses of all sizes to learn more about how forthcoming legislation is going to affect the way they submit information to HMRC.
The seminar will look in detail at:
• Online filing legislation
• When businesses need to comply
• How the software can benefit your business, such as
o Time and cost savings
o Enabling your accountants to be more proactive throughout the whole year
o Maintaining up to date Management Accounts
o Up to the minute bank feeds
o Minimising bookkeeping
o Improving invoice efficiency to get paid quicker
o Collaborative working
o Online access to your accounts anytime, anywhere
• How to prepare your business for the changes
• The different types of software available to use
• What you need to do next
The seminar will be delivered by Mark Bardwell, Senior Accountant at Sutton McGrath Hartley, a local multi-disciplinary firm of Chartered Accountants, Chartered Tax Advisers, Trust & Estate Practitioners and Financial Planners, and Kat Bond, Senior Account Manager at Xero, one of the leading cloud accounting software providers.
